Biography
Mogr
~Hatchling~
~Hatchling~
No proper bio yet, I'm afraid. Please be patient.
Notes:
- Name means "son" or "boy",
- For some strange reason, Mogr just... stopped growing once he was fledged. None of the Outpost's mages could figure out why. There was no curse nor binding upon him (that they could discover, because the cause of it was the one thing they did not, could not suspect, for it was the Oath of the Outpost itself that drained his magic and prevented his growth), but despite the decades going by, he remained physically and mentally a child.
- Never got his proper Name - Mogr is technically one of the Outpost's placeholder names, given to hatchlings to have something to call them by before they can select who they want to be and if they want to swear fealty to the Outpost in the Naming Ceremony. Seeing as the Naming Ceremony requires a mature magical core, however... Mogr simply never went through with it despite being more than old enough.
- The Clan couldn't figure it out until the very end, but Mogr was bound to the Outpost despite never going through the Ceremony. Even placeholder names are just a stopgap measure to keep the ritual from claiming those not ready or willing: walk around with one for long enough and it will become your True Name and Bind you regardless.
- The Valorous Cape that was a part of the group of unbonded familiars which enjoyed playing with the hatchlings of the Clan in the hope of finding a partner took a particular shine to him; always fussing over him, swaddling him when he looked to be getting tired or upset, bringing him to his parents when needed and protecting him from the unkindness of other hatchlings. Despite Mogr's magical core being unable to support a true familiar bond, it was nevertheless dedicated to him.
- Best friends with Nattbjarga, in part due to time taking its toll in having him stop making friends among the true hatchlings (because as time passed for everyone but him, too many of his friends left him behind or abandonded the Clan entirely, and that left its scars).
