Biography

PERMA at WindSky Weyr
t5Mc3Xz.png

He's a Harvester of Eyes.

Chunth is resistant to all forms of magic. He moves fast, and always knows the direction and distance to any quarry he may target, regardless of which planes they are on. No hiding from him is possible, even in another dimension! If he catches you - and he will - he won't kill you, but say goodbye to your peepers!

Curiously, wearing eye glasses of any sort serves as a shield to his interest.

He's not the kind of dragon WindSky Weyr really wanted associated with it. Let no one think his evil ways are condoned ... but the Weyr is open to all who will make the effort to get along and do no harm. Windrith laid down the law - Chunth is not to touch any dragon of the Weyr, nor any here to visit. One slip up, and Blackdeath will have a job, and then we would see if he is equally resistant to the sword! Chunth knows he's not, so has acquiesced to being a hatchling's nightmare, as well as a dire threat to all who threaten the Weyr's security from without. On his own terms. So far it has sufficed.

***

A childhood infection took hold in his eyes very shortly after he was born. It blurred his vision, and gave him headaches. He started out, innocently enough, searching for a means by which to alleviate his discomfort. Those means tended towards the magical. Some helped. Unfortunately, it seemed that the spells that worked best were the shadiest, containing, shall we say, "unapproved" ingredients to give them strength and staying power. What helped him see clearly, painfree, was a twisted old recipe that included eyeballs, plucked still warm from their owners' skulls, whether their original owner was alive or dead. Naturally, the living preferred to keep their eyes in their heads! They'd run. So he refined his practices to make him faster and more clever, until none could escape him. He has amassed a fine collection of eyes, sewn together with silk thread into a cape, which retains the warmth of his body and prevents them from losing their power until he needs to weave another magical working.
