Biography
"Be quiet and walk carefully! You might step on someone."
Using her power over Earth to best know where to dig, be it for gems or bugs, Diore is best known for coveting one over the other in defiance of traditional dragon lore. Wearing armor from a freshly lost beetle whom she respected, this quirky Pearlcatcher has gained mastery of taking a beastly bug's chitinous shells to make into most all manner of things, namely into sets of armor like that she wears. Crafts charms and other curios for those seeking the unique and glimmering, be it jewelry or paints made of ground up insects she bred in swarms to match an artist's demand.
The very simpleminded ones naturally, hatching dozens in weeks or months to not suffer a great loss. Most others in this dragon's care don't mind what becomes of their cocoons and such, or those dying of old age without getting squished or eaten. Little is wasted and Diore works hard to ensure pretty much all is used for something. Vile pests quickly become commodities once in her orbit, either attracted to her shiny armor or her gentle nature. Given that very few know how or can say they're interested in talking to bugs of any kind, it's not really certain which theory is true.
Diore's lair is half arboretum, half nursery considering how the plants inside are meant to encourage her swarms to flourish with help from a few of the clan's gardeners. All with the promise of taking care of the truly destructive threats for them, and a wonderful centipede salad to the weekly potluck. According to those who even like such dishes, it's worth the wait.
