Deemed "too weak" by his previous clan at his coming-of-age ceremony, Hound was kicked out and left to fend for himself in the wastelands. Luckily he hadn't wandered long when Mutt and Stray found him. They took him in and taught him how to fight better and although he's not the best fighter, he's a lot better than when he started. He excels at ranged combat and uses a bow and arrow until his enemies get close enough for hand-to-hand. Then he relies heavily on his armor to block blows while he counters.
Since he was with his previous clan well into his adolescence, he can reach and write easily. He often reads informational books to the other wildclaws to help them learn things outside of their job.
