Biography
BENJAMIN
Benjamin is a slasher. I have not, and probably will not, write the full story for the slasher. But to summarize, here are the important plot points for Benjamin's story.
It starts with Wynonna being stalked. It’s early morning, and she’s out getting coffee. She sits down with her cup and feels something’s off.]-maybe
Cut to school. Meet everyone. Show Benjamin a little bit to establish he likes Wynonna. Have everyone hang out a bit and plan. Dusty mentions how he’s gonna go hunting later, and he asks if they want to join. They decline, but say maybe later. Have Wynonna’s dad be on a trip and Wynonna invites everyone for a party. Have a superstitious (site or friend) say that the night of the party is rumored to have bad luck. People at school mention the party, Benjamin overheard. Benjamin gets jealous over seeing her speak to other guys whom she invited. Have everyone get together.
Cut to killer’s perspective. They are looking at pictures on the wall of their love. History books and memorabilia litter the room.
Wynonna finds a note on her porch from a secret admirer. It’s set in her mother’s patch of purple hyacinths. She puts it away before anyone else can notice.
Benjamin (decked out in full gas suit) enters the property.
Everyone starts talking and putting on music. Dusty asks if they should order pizza. However, the pizza place isn’t delivering because their cars were vandalized. Dusty decides to drive to get pizza. He leaves. Benjamin slashes the other cars’ tires (not mentioned until later). One of the friends goes to the upstairs bathroom in Wynonna’s room. Benjamin enters the second story room through the window. The candles Wynonna likes to set up light up most of the room. The bathroom light illuminates just under the doorframe. The guy in the bathroom (Dustin) gets out and doesn’t see Benjamin. Benjamin grabs him from behind and chokes him to death.
Flint goes up to ask Dustin how he’s doing. With no response, he assumes Dustin wants to be left alone, and Flint leaves. He rejoins the others and they all start partying again. Flint is trying to hit on Wynonna, she’s clearly uncomfortable. She decides to show Flint and Natalie the cabin in the woods behind her house. It’s really nice. Benjamin stalks them as they leave. Part way there, Natalie realizes she forgot something and heads back. Benjamin follows. Flint and Wynonna continue to the cabin.
Natalie and Benjamin enter the house. She enters the kitchen, which has a large clock on the wall. After realizing Dustin still isn’t out of the room, she decides to check on him, but sees spots of blood littering the house. She grabs a knife and heads towards Wynonna’s room. She doesn’t get too far, however. Benjamin intercepts her on the staircase and Natalie flees to an upper room used as a study/library room. She locks the door, but Benjamin breaks it down. Natalie squeezes into a nook that Benjamin’s too big to get into. He reaches his arm into the cranny and Natalie, in a hysterical fit of tears and fear, grabs his arm. She manages to cut his pinky off with the knife. He retreats a bit and she jumps out with the knife. He stumbles, trips over a couch in the middle of the room and Natalie hears him curse and recognizes Benjamin’s voice. She tries to stab him again, but Benjamin slashes her wrist with his axe. Natalie knocks a bookcase over on him and runs. She gets into her car, but realizes the tires are slashed. Benjamin follows and punches out the window and drags her out before splitting her open with the axe. He drags the body off.
Go back to Flint and Wynonna. They have reached the cabin and are now settling down. Flint keeps trying to flirt with her and make moves. She tries to distract him with old tales her father told her. They begin to speak of him and she mentions he works in handwriting analyzing, and he’s taught her a few things. Her father passed down witchy stories to her because, though he’s not interested in that stuff, his wife (Wynonna’s mother) was. Her mother died. One of the tales Wynonna shares is about how the land is cursed, and on every full moon you can hear ghosts whistling through the trees, hungry to claim souls. Dusty is on his way back with the pizza.
He checks his wrist watch and sees it’s later than he thought. He pulls up to the driveway. After getting out of his car, he notices something shining on the ground. It’s Natalie’s blood. He quickly sets the pizza back into his car and follows the trail. It leads towards the woods. Before entering, he decides to go back to his car and grab his shotgun from the trunk. He then enters the house and sees more blood, along with a note Wynonna left for Dustin saying they were at the cabin. He quickly heads out.
Cut to seeing Benjamin stalking through the woods.
Cut to Flint and Wynonna. He’s getting really handsy and she finally snaps and calls him a ******* and to get off her. Luckily, someone knocks just in time. Wynonna opens the door and sees Benjamin. He grabs her and tries to pull her out while she struggles and screams. Dusty gets there just in time too, though, and shoots at Benjamin. Wynonna and Flint run while Dusty keeps Benjamin at bay. Dusty tells them to use his car and get out of here. Wynonna is reluctant to leave him, but must.
Dusty shoots Benjamin in the shoulder, but runs out of ammo. Benjamin throws his axe and impales his chest before Dusty can reload. Then goes to Dusty and uses his axe to chop him again and again. He grabs the shotgun and an extra ammo pack. Then heads off towards Flint and Wynonna again.
They’ve made it to her house. Wynonna sees the blood everywhere and checks all the rooms insearch of Natalie. Flint is freaking out in the living room down stairs. Wynonna enters her room and sees Dustin with his heart carved out and words written from his blood on the wall. She recognizes the handwriting and pulls out the secret admirer card she put into her pocket. She sees with deadly clarity that it’s the same person, and then she realizes why it’s so familiar. She takes out a note Benjamin had given her a few days ago (on the day of school we showed at the beginning) that she hadn’t gotten a chance to throw away yet. She realizes it’s him. She takes a moment.
Commotion from downstairs interrupts her. She rushes downstairs to find Benjamin broke through a window (Wynonna locked the doors after she and Flint got there). He’s now advancing on Flint. A clock watches from overhead. As does a statue candle holder with several candles burning. She rushes in front of him to implore him to stop, as knowing who it is has given her a sense of bravery. He tells her this is all for her, that her “friends” have blinded her to his love. They manipulate her into ignoring his pleas. She saw the message he left much later than he thought she would, but that he’d been glad she found it. He knew she’d be able to figure out it was him, and it’d be their little secret. He pushes her aside and runs to Flint again. Wynonna has no choice but to do the only thing she can think of. She jumps in front of his axe, and it splits her skull in two. Her blood splatters on the photo of the purple hyacinths. Flint, in his true ******* fashion, both curses Benjamin for killing her and pleads to spare his life since Benjamin’s goal is dead. Benjamin does not hear him. He falls to his knees.
Flint curses some more and stumbles away as fast as he can, then hops into Dusty’s car and drives off to get someone. Benjamin lays in the pool of her blood, cradling her as if her pure skin burns his own, yet the pain would be worse if he weren’t holding her at all. It’s silent.
He slowly reloads the shotgun. He puts it under his chin. He pulls the trigger.
Flint drives deliriously, but gets the cops and they arrive at the house. They arrive at a scene of carnage. Of Benjamin laying across Wynonna.
Of purple hyacinths.
Epilogue:
Flint is in town. He’s in a store and we see old newspapers clipping on the walls. One is about the teen massacre at a girl’s house (x) years ago. There’s a section saying how it’s a popular ghost hunting spot. He buys something and leaves. Flint returns to Wynonna’s house because of a strange pull. He’s older, an adult now. The house is deserted. He walks through the house and the woods, then goes to the cabin and smokes. Nighttime falls. He sets up a single candle.
Benjamin appears in a swirl of black smoke, his body reconstructed little by little. He seems surprised he’s back. But then he sees Flint, and the axe is brought down upon the camera (metaphorical camera). The candle whooses out.
It ends with a leg, in a swirl of black smoke and bits of blood, vanishing into the night.
In this dragon AU, Benjamin finally found a romantic partner after many, many years and many, many kills. She is called Ectoplasm.
