THE APPRENTICE
Although Cato is bound by his duty as a Lightning Representative, his true motive for traveling to the Oasis Rock was to study under the renowned engineer and hydro-electrician Nerys.

Cato is deeply fascinated by Nerys's irrigation systems and how they are able to support life in the middle of the desert. He intends to one day bring this knowledge back to the Shifting Expanse for further application.
