Biography
Wynn was suddenly awoken from his daydream by a dragon knocking violently on his dorm door. "Wynn! Wynn, come on! We're getting inspected today, we can't be late."
He opened the door and gave his friend a silent nod. Incanter only gave him an impatient grunt and quickly ran down the corridor. He could barely keep up with her. After a while they found themselves in an empty room, where a dragon was sitting on a balcony, overseeing them from above. "Incanter and Wynn, right? You may begin."
Music started playing and the young skydancers immediately knew what to do. They locked talons and started to dance, throwing each other in the air, beating their wings and lashing their tails in rhythm with the beat. As they finished with a graceful pose and froze, the dragon sitting atop the balcony started clapping as she slowly walked down the stairs. "Very impressive." Queen Gravity spoke, "Good form, perfect synchronization. I have no real complaints." She stopped right in front of the two perfectly still dragons, inspecting their motionless faces. "I think you are almost ready. I'll give you one more month. If you show just as much improvement, then I think I'll finally let you compete in the annual dance offs."
Wynn and Incanter looked at each other and gave a hopeful smile, "Thank you, your Majesty." They started back down the ebony palace halls towards the Dome, where both of the skydancers, and all the exceptional dancers, lived.
"I can't believe it!" Incanter exclaimed. "Finally, all the months of training have paid off, wouldn't you say, Wynn?" "Mmhm." he nodded. It was a rare sight seeing his friend this excited. "Just think about it: me competing against all the other kingdoms, leaving their wittle hearts crushed cause they could never compete with a blackhole." "Inc," Wynn said with a calm and surprisingly deep voice, "you know that the other kingdoms contribute to our planet just as much as us." Incanter grunted, "Here you go again with the 'everyone is equal' talk. I know that they're important. I'm just saying that we, the blackholes, are the ones with the most won trophies from the annual dance offs." Wynn's expression turned sour as he gave his companion a sideways glance, but didn't say anything.
They approached Incanter's dorm room. His was on a completely different floor, so the two dragons said their goodbyes and went their separate ways for the day.
