Introspective and cautious, as well as slow to make decisions. It's fairly common for him not to speak for days. Often what he says is poetic or metaphorical in nature. Born and raised in the Cloudscrape Crags, Cirrus left his home turf as soon as he felt the pull of the Search. The journey took him several years as he crossed the Southern Icefields. He became more haggard and worn down in his Search, eventually losing consciousness in a blizzard. He was found by a nomadic group of Wintermane Centaurs, who spared his life cautiously.

At first treated warily by the scrawny group, he gradually earned their trust by hunting down food for the little ones and fending off hostile dragons. Accepted into the group as a protector, Cirrus served in the guard. He mostly maintained his position by guarding the younger children. Cirrus's closest companion, Sven, was the centaur who found him and was later determined to be Cirrus's charge. Sven and Cirrus are very close friends, and communicate nonverbally. Even with his stoic nature, he's an enormous softie, and doesn't mind being a glorified playground for kids who want to tap on his armor or tie bows on him.

The Beastclan Wars continued to escalate. The smallish group of Centaurs that Cirrus guarded were approached by a larger herd of Bowmen. Families with small children were to be evacuated deeper into Wintermane territory. Cirrus would not be welcome there and could not accompany them. Swen had no mate or children to keep him with the herd, so he decided that he would stay with his friend and they would journey on together.

The two decided to head toward the Sea of a Thousand Currents.
