The Sea of a Thousand Currents hasn't been left untouched by the slow encroachment of Plague. The blight proliferates in the depths, even, the Contagion soaking up nutrients from plankton and marine snow and growing, growing, growing. Some of the territories once belonging to the Water flight have now been saturated with Plaguebringer's magic. Under Her hold Nivena was born - to a clan that was of the sea as much as it was of the blight. Her inborn pathogen strain left her with translucent skin, reminiscent of the fish schooling in the deeps of the Leviathan's trench - a perfect sign of her mixed identity.

Nivena has joined the Undying Scavengers after being recruited by Tarpit himself. Her honed surviving skills and charismatic predisposition made her a perfect envoy to Water clans. The end goal for her work is to ease the Water clans' worries about Plague's conquest; to make them less resistant to the inevitable.
