Deja

Deja has returned. From the bubbling lava, she emerged like a phoenix, but the lava never cooled from her body. It seems she was lurking underneath the volcanic veins of the sentinel lair, asleep for a long time. According to her, she's always been there, in that particular pool of lava, so no one has any idea of her origins and her age. She doesn't claim to be a god, nor an ancient dragon. But she believes she is cursed to live forever, dying in molten rocks and sizzling toxic fumes, and emerging once again in the same pool she came from.

Upon closer inspection, Malachi found there was an indestructible portal in the lava pool Deja came from. It is oddly shaped like a single egg stand. He theorizes that Deja is indeed cursed with eternal life that cycles over and over from end to beginning, like that of a phoenix.

Because of Deja's lava abundant body, and her dangerous heat, she stays in the sentinel lair, and trains with them. She is seemingly a fire dragon, but really, she has plague origins. Yet all she seems to have known is fire and lava. She's pretty cozy in the volcanic pools, and doesn't appear to be hurt by anything. She does not fear death or danger, because she will simply emerge again where she has always before. Though Malachi seems to conclude that if the lava surrounding the portal is absent, Deja would not be able to "hatch" from it.

Personality-wise, Deja seems to exhibit disdain, apathy and vindictive behavior, out of frustration and despair of her constant loneliness and isolating immortality. She is one with the lava, and asserts herself as the molten lake of fire itself. It's best not to come too close, even fire dragons might want to stand at a safe distance. One might catch fire, or find the very air too hot to breathe within only 5 feet of her!
