Gaunt

anywho!! i basically have it planned out that the two veilspun neomenia i have were turned by Cinder at some point (a rare occurance since she doesn't really like turning others if she doesn't have to) In order to stay with her (the three of them are a polycule).

The three of them lived almost entirely on animal blood, since they were veilspun, it was easy enough to do, and they weren't a danger to other dragons this way! They lived peacfully enough in a small town with normal dragons with no trouble for a while. Then a group of Vampire hunters came through town, and they didn't think the same as the townsfolk about their local sanguivores. Basing their experience on other kinds of vampires, they were certain that these sanguineswould be much the same as the murderous creatures of the night they had previously hunted. They managed to capture and starve Gaunt until he entered a blood craze before loosing him on the town, just to try and prove a point. Meeletu and Cinder tried to stop him but the hunters bound Meeletu with something more or less cursed that reduced her more or less to the same state as Gaunt.

Cinder murdered the hunters in a rage, burning them with fire magic fueled by that rage till only ashes remained. The town was a bloodbath, but Gaunt and Meeletu was still stuck in their respective blood crazes. Cinder was left with no choice but to shackle her own lovers in hopes that she could one day cure them. She ended up turning the few survivors left in the town in order to save them the only way she could

i'll be picking a few of my other sanguines to be from those remaining townsfolk

(Basically the hunters wanted to prove a point and also they couldnt kill towns folk, but they COULD kill monsters)
im thinking maybe Leto was one of the towsfolk who got turned afterwards, and ill pick maybe two more
anyways!! the whole thing could tie into why there's so many sanguines in Zephyrus
they were Cinder's group who'd been on the run for who knows how many decades, maybe even centuries
