B I O G R A P H Y

Main Theme: Life Itself

______ From the start, Life had always been an oddity even in her own clan. She had been found alone in the woods as a baby all by herself, having been tossed out by her birth mother for being 'cursed'. Dita was charged with the task of raising her, and that went about as well as you would expect.

Dita was and likely always will be a very vain and prideful dragon, and she expected her 'daughter' to be nothing less, or it would 'ruin her image'. Ignoring the fact that most didn't even like Dita, she and Life were just very different dragons in general, no matter how hard Dita tried to force Life into her same mold.

Not many children her age stuck around in the clan at the time, most being sold to other clans or sent to the Gladekeeper, and as a result Life grew up quite lonely. She spent most of her time out in the woods with the animals, envious of her clanmates' ability to be friends and get along.

Eventually, she learned about magic from a book in the clan's library, and from that day forward Life decided her goal in life was to become the most powerful mage in Sornieth. She read and studied tirelessly, pouring all of her free time into learning what she had to do to achieve her dream. Magic wasn't a very discussed or practiced topic in Luontei, and as result people just tended to avoid her more. It was fine though, she had her books and her scrolls. She was fine...

She practiced tirelessly to try and learn her first spell, which resulted in her learning a powerful light spell. This warranted mixed feelings in her, as her birth clan and parents were from the Light flight, and as much as she hated to say it, she was a Light dragon too. No matter how much she loved the Nature flight, she would always be a Light dragon. It was just how things were.

______ Life lived most of her life in the woods, only coming back to the main territory to grab things she had forgotten. She liked it, things were good. She was progressing in magic, she looked like an actual mage now, she found a stray cat (which she promptly named Sally), and she was happier than she had ever been in her child. Though she couldn't ignore the bitter sting of knowing that nobody liked her. That nobody wanted to her around her. That she would be alone forever...

But it was fine.

And then, Wavecrash showed up. Beautiful, strong, persistant, jerkish Wavecrash.

Life didn't know what to think at first. This dragon just showed up one day and started...talking to her? What in the world? How did they even find her out there? After the initial surprise of someone wanting to even breathe the same air as her, she had (very begrudgingly) let them stick around. And from then on, the two spent most of their time together, Life showing her magic to Wavecrash and Wavecrash showing their fighting skills and qualities of a soldier to Life. They bickered constantly, having conversations that ranged from friendly banter to full-blown insulting each other to no end. Due to Wavecrash's tendency to hide their emotions and Life's isolation from most people, they could both be pretty terrible at communicating, but they worked through it together, and their dynamic is one that only they really understand.

And, though she's never say it, Life was actually starting to maybe...like Wavecrash a little. Just a bit. I mean, when you you get your first and only friend after sending years alone in the forest, that tends to happen to you.

She just hopes everything goes well in the future.
