◇ Vernal
Healer ◇ He/him ◇ Nervous
Standard Sundrowned

"H-how did you get in there?"

sundrowned.png
Despite being one of the Compass' primary medical professionals, very little is known about Vernal beyond what can be grasped from short, surface-level conversations and occasional medical visits. While he is calm and collected when working, the moment someone attempts to start a conversation or spots him outside of work hours he appears a frantic, stuttering mess, eyes darting in every direction and constantly looking behind him, as if someone could ambush him at any moment.

"Seen as the ‘commons’ of the castes, Standard Sundrowned are the most widely seen of the subspecies. Due to how large they are in numbers, they tend to have the most abnormalities— it’s not unusual to see one of these dragons walking around with two pairs of golden horns or glowing claws.

Nature dragons are the oddest of the flights within the Sundrowned, to the point these dragons are seen as recluse and elusive. They tend to enjoy spending their time deep within forests and lush greenery, bringing light to the planets that may not see it.
Those with high magic can accidentally sprout blooms on their manes.

It is a shock amongst the Sundrowned to see a dragon with dark sclera— the color of The Lightweaver entrapped with the black of the Shade makes the castes weary and careful of these dragons. These dragons have abhorrent and terrifying strength in magic, being able to rend cities apart should their temper flair; For this reason they are usually barred from towns and the like.

Dragons with dark sclera usually keep their eyes hidden with a cloak or blindfold, commonly claiming they are blind to avoid any negative reactions from the dragons around them.
"

Notes

Shade-touched, but due to strong Light magic from being a Sundrowned it takes longer for the Shade's influence to take hold, and as such he's still clear of mind.

Very paranoid about being discovered as Shade-touched. Keeps his eyes concealed at all times and avoids making eye contact as much as possible.

Has incredibly strong magic (partially due to subspecies and partially due to the Shade's influence), which while mainly used for healing purposes could also wipe the clan off the map if he's not careful: another reason why he doesn't want his secret to get out.
