Biography
Moros & Acanthus > Neander > Spumone > Squallbearer > Osiris > Inari > Corven > Persephone > Sentry > Ravencourt > Stelian > Morion > Twelve > Me Memento mori (Latin: "remember that you have to die") is the medieval Latin Christian theory and practice of reflection on mortality, especially as a means of considering the vanity of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits. Memento mori has been an important part of ascetic disciplines as a means of perfecting the character by cultivating detachment and other virtues, and by turning the attention towards the immortality of the soul and the afterlife. This curse would be traced down his lineage. All Moros' children were destined to die, like any dragon. But they would be given a second chance. It was up to the children if they would accept the bargain. |
Water Nightcallers are second only to their Shadow counterparts. They tend to be the most cold-hearted of their brethren and are as cruel and lonely as the sea from which Urban hails. They are unsteady, fluctuating; known to rage like violent whirlpools, or silently seethe like calm seas before a storm. |
Forever more this clutch and those who descended from them would roam Sornieth unsatisfied. Great power flowed in their veins, but every time they used it, their hunger for more would grow. It would rise up until it consumed their minds and bodies whole. Devaduta's children do not have a proper sect of the Academy. However, their collective name can be heard in whispers in the hallways and along the streets. The Cursed. While incredibly powerful with both elemental and Warden magic, they are doomed from the beginning. Casting slowly destroys either their mind or body, rendering them extremely sickly or insane. |
The moment he was born...Tretten was cursed. There was a prophecy of his family's demise but his parents didn't take heed. They've already died and have had a second chance of life so in their eyes, nothing worse can come from it.
Thirteen - a number of bad luck and now the Memento Mori clans were expected their first thirteenth generation to be born. Everyone waited with baited breath; would these children be powerful or would they be doomed.
Tretten took his first breath. His parents were excited to see their children emerge. Everything was normal. Everything was fine. The superstitions of thirteen had all been forgotten. That is until a sickness plagued the small town he lived in. It took his sister first and when she didn't gain her second life; his parents began to worry, writing to other family members and clanmates for answers and advice. Sadly, they had gotten ill as well and succumbed to their final death - not to return again. this left Tretten and his older brother.
