Biography

Elysia
Age: 42
Position: Beastclan Ambassador

Elysia came to the clan on a whim, abandoned from her home, while observing a clan of manticores. Kepi found the large skydancer to be very skilled when it came to negotiating with the neighboring beast tribes and bestowed the dragoness with a place in her clan. Elysia is everyone's personal ray of sunshine. She enjoys being around the unusual creatures surrounding her home and will often observe and befriend them.

Although Elysia was thrilled to no end to finally have a place where she could belong, the former wind clan dragon, missed her usual observations and chats with the surrounding beast clan, one in particular. A small dwarf Hainu had been in her company for the longest of time and, while a taboo, had become one of her dearest friends.

"Lania" as Elysia called the avian canine, was her stalwart companion throughout her wandering. Despite their odd friendship, the Hainu would venture into the Lightning flight to visit her large feathery draconic friend and the two would virtually spend hours talking. Unfortunately, Kepi is not a fan of "strangers" and even more distrusting of non-dragon intruders. When Kepi discovered that Elysia was allowing the beast clan native to enter their weyr's fortress without so much as batting an eyelash, she became FURIOUS. The tempest tempered leader lashed out at Lania out of panic, hoping to protect her clan, but managed to injure her new recruit when she stepped in front to take the blow.

Things were a bit rocky at that time between the two, though Elysia held no personal grudge. However, her bubbly nature began to disappear when her friend no longer showed up. This did not go unnoticed by the distraught leader. Realizing her mistake, Kepi instructed Elysia to go and find her old friend and present the canine with an apology letter and an official statement, allowing the canine to return whenever it pleased. Kepi allowed the odd canine to stay, if for no other reason than to keep her old friend in the weyr.

With their relationship on the mend, Elysia began to return to her bubbly self. Lania was an incredible asset to the clan with her keen nose, and with Elysia and Lania both working together, the clan was actually able to find the fertile spot in the Everglades that they now call home.

Their new life was much simpler, much more relaxing, and much more...civilized. When LiveWire came into Kepi's life, the clan went from a much more feral natured weyr, to the wonderful village community it is. Elysia was given the official role of "Beast Clan Ambassador" and tasked with befriending any of the strange creatures that they might come in contact with.

Elysia hasn't slowed in her age, 42 years young as she says, and her kindness and ebullience haven't faded. Her kindness and rational thinking have aided the weyr in making peace with several of the surrounding beastclan members.
Elysia uses her soft voice and kind deeds to endear the neighboring beast tribes to her weyr. She believes that her kind actions speak for themselves and believes the best about them as well. After all, to her, everything is born, needs kindness, and dies, so why not be kind?

She even seems to have collected some "disciples" along the way in the form of Daiquiri and Colada. Together, the three of them will often take in injured or sick animals/beast clan members and try and make friends. Even though she has no plans to retire, the thought that she has others to help her is very nice.
