Alomiere

Alomiere, and her aging mother Circe, were the two first dragons to be pulled into the then tiny cavern, where a small, glittering Fae had lost so much. The clan they had both been born to formed a fast alliance with the shadowy brood, seeing several others from its rank join the fledgling lair. Alomiere, though a snapper, was raised with every bit the same attention and care as if she was one of Orla's own brood. As her mothers health declined, Orla began to take a more dominant role in her life, and though they all knew that soon The Shadowbinder would call dear Circe to her side, the young snapper she left behind would be able to stand proud and keep her footing. She would be able to face all the world brought to her, to sort it and settle it all, sure in all the support and knowledge she'd soaked deep into her hide since her arrival in Clan Mellori.

Alomiere was home.

She has tasked herself with chronicling the history of the growing clan and keeping her mothers memory alive. She often breaks up quarrels within the lair and helps all parties settle their disputes. She is easily recognized as the clan's bookkeeper by the lantern she carries with her at all times, a warm beacon under which she spends most of her sleepless nights both writing and reading. She chronicles the births and deaths, the fights for territory, and the growing history of their clan. She knows everything, about everyone, except Orla.

It's the mark of a great leader, knowing just what to keep hidden from those you're trying to protect.
