Basiliscus and Calcatrix are mercenaries with deadly skills and even deadlier bites to match. They consider each other equals and are rarely seen apart. Cal always lurks in Basil's shadow, waiting to ambush their targets. The pair is magic-less but hide their eyes anyways. Nobody knows what their true eye colors are.
Basiliscus and Calcatrix do not emotionally bond with their children like loving parents should. They simply pass down their venomous fangs and skills as a means of survival. Their children also have no magic. From hatching to adolescence, their children are trained to fight.
Upon reaching adulthood, their children are left behind in whatever domain to fend on their own. These young warriors often follow the footsteps of their parents, becoming heartless mercenaries, but others may be lucky enough to find another path. Most of their children become distant from them...and few may even come to resent them.
