INTERLOPERS are a unique kind of drone, with liquid metallic bodies patterned with ever shifting scales. These specialized scales [koi] allow an INTERLOPER to mimic a mundane, commonly colored dragon-- perfect for infiltrating enemy territory or fooling rival hives. Occasionally these complex mimicry systems "glitch out" and produce a mutant INTERLOPER, who's patterns are locked in place instead of being viable camouflage [opal]. These drones often do not leave their hive, as this clearly marks them as an outsider to friend and foe alike, but have been known to integrate into normal clan life as well.
