Biography

Ferns and grasses are far more interesting than they look, and Saccharo's main research is focused on them! Their life cycles are vastly different compared to the more common flowering plants that dominate the jungles, but they're just as important to the ecosystem as any other plant. He's mastered the ability of growing ferns from their sori--the "seeds" of ferns that are actually more akin to spores! He also has little beds of different kinds of grasses, and often studies their unique flowers (florets) under microscope. Although those two plants aren't the most fascinating plants around, he loves them to pieces and would gladly take you around his fern-filled home if you ask!
