Irinth

Current Position/Standing

Irinth is the clan's infantry commander and trainer. Most young dragons are frightened or annoyed by her, as she is often the first to discourage their methods of play. However, she is highly respected by the older members of Seranon, who recognize her as a highly effective warrior and leader. She serves as second-in-command to her former mentor, Eirvi, who trusts her to lead the clan's military in the case of her absence or, Gladekeeper forbid, her death.

Irinth's Charge is her twin brother Eirveon, as the two of them faced a difficult upbringing in the wilds of the Tangled Wood. She finds it difficult to express her affection for other dragons, and therefore will often push them aside in favor of solitude. However, the longer she remains in Seranon, the stronger her love grows for the rest of the clan. Despite her chastisement of the hatchlings and her critiques of the elders, she is deeply aware that she would give her life for any one of them. The only dragons, besides her brother, that she feels she can be truly vulnerable with are Eirvi and her adoptive mother, Indi, and she will often find herself chatting with them by the hatchery, long into the night.

Current Position

Irinth and Eirveon have no idea who their original parents are. The first thing they remember is a nest without owners, and the egg of their sibling already broken. They were found early on by Indi, who did her best to protect and care for them, but was often simply too small to fend off attackers or gather enough food. Irinth knew from a young age that her Charge was her brother, and that she was his as well (even if he hesitates to say it aloud), and would stop at nothing to protect him. She sparred against imaginary enemies for hours at a time, readying herself for anything that could threaten her family.

When they discovered Shervi, injured and infected, at the border between the Tangled Wood and the Scarred Wasteland, Irinth didn't trust her. But the strange skydancer told stories of her home, a humble clan of families, and insisted that they would be cared for if they followed her back to the Viridian Labyrinth. Irinth didn't intend to stay in Seranon, but was struck by the care shown to her and Eirveon, and by the time years had passed, any thought of leaving had long left her.
