Rumor is another member of the Vree Chel Noke swarm, adopted after they helped Iris and the swarm escape from captivity. They are Iris's best friend and partner in crime, often pulling her into shenanigans and helping translate for her. They love to sing, especially folk music and sea shanties.

While Rumor was a smuggler in the past, and is willing to participate in crime for a good cause, they are not a part of the Thieves Guild.

In their free time, Rumor gardens. They have the ability to make plants grow in even the most inhospitable places. As such, they are close friends with Ada. The two of them can often be found behind the Temple of the Eleven, gossiping with each other as they help Firefly maintain the place.
