Biography
Rook is a minor shapeshifter-god of violence, chaos, and war. He was born in a different universe than the one he currently inhabits. None in Sornieth have yet seen him take any form other than that of a dragon.
His presence has a corrupting influence on other organisms, sapient or not, which causes them to gradually lose whatever agency they might possess and submit to his will. His influence can spread like a virus from those affected to those not even when Rook is not present.
Bat scouts from the clan discovered Rook on the basalt beaches bordering the Ashfall Wastes and the Sea of a Thousand Currents. There, he had enslaved two Beastclans – harpies and maren – and was pitting them against each other in deadly, though apparently pointless combat. Seeing the potential value in such a capable fighter (though wary of his obvious psychopathy), the scouts retreated without making contact and reported their findings to Clan Father.
Erebus successfully made contact, and Rook later joined the clan. He agreed to curb his malevolence and to restrict his viral mind control to non-clan members, and he is permitted to vent his psychopathic rages in the coliseum. Understandably however, the Beastclans and rival flights don't like Rook very much, and even Erebus is starting to wonder if the addition of a powerful fighter is really worth living with a total nutcase.
Incidentally, Rook gets along famously with Malsumis.
