Primary Gene - Metallic only
Secondary - Alloy, Shimmer(weakened construct)
Tert - Runes(magical construct), Circuit(physical construct)
Super Basic Generic Lore Placeholder(until I can come up with more details/better backstory)
Leftover from ancient era of advanced magical technology. Magical(runes) constructs used mainly as weapons of war, physical(circuit) constructs more for physical labor, construction work, improve daily life type stuff.
War happens, civilization doesn't make it through, constructs survive though. And become self-aware(they had some basic AI) and more intelligent as they breed and evolve(did I mention they're also bio-mech?).
They have their own society now, with colors/breed determining hierarchy and job(I'll hash this out later).
