Biography

25UbGCk.png

[Name] was born in a laboratory. Not the test tube sort of scenario one might imagine from that statement, but just from an egg like any other dragon. Although, one could argue she was made in a cauldron, given that's where her egg was made. When she finally broke through and tumbled out of the thick shell that had held her prisoner, she was greeted to bright light all around her. Her eyes weren't used to things like sunlight, and certainly not any other type of light. But she quickly grew used to it, and started using her short little legs and long body to slither about. It was somewhere between a slither and a crawl, anyway. She'd barely gotten used to moving before she was plucked from the floor, and heard someone complaining about her being underfoot. Not that she knew at the time what they were saying.

She was placed in a cozy little bed once removed from the room. It was nice here, and more peaceful. And come to think of it, she was exhausted after using so much energy to break through that thick shell. She fell into a restful slumber.

Once she woke up, she found herself being carried again. She liked it, she decided. Being carried was nice. She stayed limp and watched as the world moved around her. And eventually, into the dark. Back in her egg? No. It was lighter than that. She was in a cave. And she was placed with other hatchlings! Those were fun. She crawl-slithered and giggled and bit and licked and rolled around. It was great fun! And there were so many new scents!

And when she started to wander, she found herself scooped up by someone who slithered just like her! Only, they didn't use their arms or legs for it. They didn't even have legs! Their green scales matched her own. "What are you doing wandering around and wriggling on the floor like a tiny snake?" the serthis asked her. But [Name] didn't understand any of it at the time. She just made a little squeak. The serthis sighed. "You're probably hungry, huh? Let's get you some food and back with the others, then." She tucked the tiny lizard under one arm, and carried her off.

Despite being fed and dropped back off at daycare, the little bogsneak was still feeling a bit mischievous. And she liked the other slitherer! And slithered after her again. She was so good at slithering! After several more attempts to leave her behind, the serthis resigned herself to her fate. The little bogsneak was cute, and warm. And it didn't seem like leaving her behind did any good.

Once her little lizard friend learned to talk, the two got along quite well, actually. They'd often be found snuggled up together, helping keep each other warm through the night, despite that it didn't get that cold in the caves they slept in. And they'd sunbathe together. And talk for hours on end. And [Name] still tried to learn to slither as well as her serthis companion. It made for a fun game. She couldn't quite get as good, but her friend couldn't fly, so perhaps they were even.

And, slithering got much harder when she got covered in fur....

I dunno, something like this. She's such a cute gaoler.
