Biography

The Odd One Out.

he'd never quite fit in anywhere.

it had been easy at first, in his original clan; he'd been with a force of other spirals, who understood his quirks and his odd desires, who didn't take offence at his speech patterns and his monopolizing of conversations. as the clan got bigger, however, space began to run out; as one of their host trees eventually died, he was finally forced to go find his own path and join a new clan.

it was no small task for him.

it took him months and months of trial and error, of unsuccessful beginnings and disastrous endings - one was particularly terrible, when he bore straight through the stone wall of a cave-dwelling clan and made it collapse - before he finally stumbled upon the fae sisters. their curiosity got the best of them, and they quickly befriended this strange creature clumsily squirming through their land; he was brought back as an object of curiosity, his curves and coils marvelled over around the night's fire, his speech gently mocked and encouraged. the clan took him in out of pity, at first; the following months offered him several occasions to show his wit, hidden behind odd mannerisms and an impenetrable barrier of words. he is no longer considered a simple oddity, but a part of the clan, to his great delight.

the fae sisters rarely leave his side now; he makes up for their lack of emotion with his incessant chattering, and often manages to get across what they can't due to their communication issues. the three of them have become inseparable over the time they've lived together. it's not an uncommon sight to see him curled in their spun-sap nest, or to see him emerge from a hole in the side of the waterfall, quickly followed by two dusty balls of scale and leather.
