Biography
Ash
Quiet|sweet|forgotten
A strange, unknown dragon stared at him, eyes wide and sweet. A tug of something came in his head, the tug of a river of memories waiting to be released. He squinted past the bars of sunlight that cascaded their light in front of him and stared at her face. The recognition in her eyes released the flood of memories within his head. Reichenau. She hurried over and before Ash knew it he was touching muzzles with her, pure instinct took over too quickly to react else wise. He had found his Reichenau, he had found the half to his whole. The retirement home around them seemed so much better with her there with him.
Ash sat silently in the night, waiting one by one as each memory replayed in his head. He replayed his whole life just to remember everything about her through out the night. Some memories were darker, dusty and long forgotten. Memories of Reichenau were generally easier to call back though, she had changed his life beyond everything he had planned for. Some wise dragons said that memories are a tricky thing, the good ones however are the simplest and the easiest to call back because they are the ones that grant us acceptance and boundary less joy. Reichenau was all he needed for happiness and enjoyment, she was the giver of everything good he had experienced.
The natural wake up alarm of robins singing soothed Ash early in the morning. Snow coated the window sill and the ground outside of the frosty panes of glass. Chilly air greeted his muzzle as his windows were opened and the angry cold filled the room. Ash liked the snow, it was clean and perfect and white. Especially when it was untouched by paws. He slowly ambled down the stairs and looked outside of his den door. A small birds nest sat on the high pines outside. Tall sheets of snow crested the pine trees tallest branches. the piles of snow drifted down as the branches shook while Ash neared the garden bench. There Reichenau sat, her naturally blushed face from the cold greeted him pleasurably. Without a word between them Ash sat next to her. Their presence and the swift glances at each other told their stories.
Ash's dreams were taunting. He and Reichenau in younger days flying together off into the horizon. He knew that he had a problem with letting his childhood go, but Reichenau had made him want to cling onto it as if the problem was non-existant. Ash sighed and slept again.
A repetitive cycle wasn't natural, Ash couldn't rely on Reichenau for all his happiness. He had to discover something else that he could find a true sense of completion within. Reichenau was the only thing that he believed to grant him his happiness. There seemed to be nothing else.
Days past and Ash made new friends, silent much like him but approachable and moderately friendly. Reichenau and Ash strengthened a blooming friendship as they met up often in the mornings to enjoy eachothers company. Over time Ash began to feel at peace in his new home, he began sneaking out to the koi pond in the front garden early in the morning to watch the colourful koi twist around each other beneath the lily pads. He started his own windowsill garden and soon some of the younger dragons who worked at the home suggested that he could tend to his own garden out back. A new friend. A new hobby. A new life. Ash knew he belonged among the dragons at the home, he was willing to spend the remainder of his life there with them.

Childhood:
When Ash was younger he had no problem with shyness. Ash was an outgoing charming young dragon who enjoyed the company of others and never drifted out of a conversation. After he met Reichenau though, and lost her he knew he was missing something very important for his life. On his own he became quieter, even more meek than he had become around Reichenau and Ash drifted further away from the person he once was. It was hard for him to be happy because Ash didn't try hard enough to care about the world in his quiet state, which caused sadness with all the dragons he used to know. Ash became separate from the world he once lived in. When Reichenau and Ash were finally reunited he could barely remember her at first. However, since after she left he hadn't shared much happiness with anything or anyone else he was fixated on rebuilding a lost friendship. Perhaps he could make up for his lost youth in the new place where everyone accepted him. He could make it better, different. So he would try.
