Fossil's chosen item (or items) to guard are the clan's maps
He also produces them for the guards and hunters of the clan

He has a very good natural sense of direction, and took to Cartography like a magnet to a fridge

Fossil has some unresolved beef with the ice flight, and refuses to graph or even visit the flight's territory
He's skeptical of most of the ice-born dragons in the clan as well, minus Aysel

He and Aysel are close friends, and he has mapped out ingredient locations for her

On the other hand, Fossil is very fond of Seaglass, and considers him a father of sorts
He learned much of what he knows thanks to Seaglass

• BACKSTORY •

Fossil was brought into the clan as a juvenile by Seyahza, whom sought to punish him for trying to walk through the territory
Seaglass followed not long after to protect his overgrown foster son

Teirtu quickly grew attached to Fossil and Seaglass, so he let them into the clan
Ever since then he's taken to making and guarding maps

However, Fossil has beef with the ice flight over a certain blacksmith's brother, who has been stirring up trouble
