From the moment he was born, Mandere knew his purpose in life was to be on stage. From a young age, he was haunted by the melodies and captivated by the acting, and the all round sparkle and shine of theater had him bewitched. As a small hatchling he would hold his own plays (where he of course was the star) and write songs for his musicals. He would sneak into the wardrobe of others to dress up in their clothes, and was always berated once caught.

As he grew older his passion burned brighter, and he began to hone in and refine his acting skills. Everything he did he did so with dramatic and theatrics flair, much to the annoyance of other clan members. It was when he was an adolescent that Mandere developed his taste in fine clothes and adoration for women's fashion. He would always dress himself up as a girl, playing off his feminine appearance, and sometimes even took a feminine persona for fun. His clan mates, however, were aggravated by Mandere's dramatics and feminine apparel, and would chastise him constantly. They wanted him to behave like a normal dragon. Mandere, however, could not comply with their wishes; to do so would to betray his own nature. Though he desperately wanted his family's acceptance, he could not change himself to get it. As such, Mandere was never accepted into the clan, and when the time came, he left.

He wanted to get as far away from the Crystal Pine reaches as possible, to leave his family and past behind, so Mandere wandered into the Wispwillow Grove. However, living on his own was very different to living with a clan, and Mandere found it a struggle, especially as he was not used to getting his hands dirty. Worse still was the local beastclans who fought with Mandere for food and shelter and, as he was not one for fighting, Mandere often went without.

One day, Mandere was curled on a large rock, letting his sorrows and frustrations out, when he was found by Zadkiel and Brenton, who were out on patrol. Zadkiel instantly moved in to comfort Mandere, who he assumed to be a lady, and proceeded to try and chat him up. Mandere played along until Brenton pointed out that Mandere was in fact a guy, ruining his facade. Zadkiel was mortified and, enraged by embarrassment, stormed home in a huff. Once the scene died down, Brenton took Mandere back to the clan, so that he could be fed and cleaned up.

Mandere was nervous meeting the clan at first, but they were incredibly open to him and he soon fit in. The others found him charming and were genuinely interested in his stories and plays. Mandere, having never been around other dragons who accepted him, was overwhelmed, and sobbed as he thanked Nisha and Meira for their shelter. He easily intergrated into the clan, and became fast friends with everybody.

Mandere's role in the clan is to be the event organizer, whether it be something grand such as an exaltation ceremony, or something more mundane like a daily song. Nisha aims to have everyone in the clan involved in art and the creation of art, and it is a goal that is shared by Mandere. When he is not organizing events, he is always acting or singing, and giving help to those who may want it. Nisha is grateful to have Mandere to share her goal with, as she knows there is no asset more valuable than Mandere. He also works closely with Hermoine, the clan's fashion designer, to create beautiful clothes as well as costumes, and along with Bennedetta, the three make up the infamous "Trio Fashionista" of the clan.

Mandere is a very gentle dragon, and will always opt to talk and negotiate rather than fight. He cares very strongly for all of his clan mates, especially Bennedetta, a small mirror hatchling who shares Mandere's love for theater and fashion. He will always do his best to comfort another in need, even if his help is unwanted, which sometimes causes agitation amongst clan mates. However, they all love him for it. He is a very social dragon dragon, and is very friendly and open, which is why he is a well loved and well respected member of the clan.
