The Kaiju
Zilla's enormous body rests underwater near the Clan's dock cave, worryingly close if he ever becomes malicious. Mostly, though, Zilla acts as a natural breakwater, keeping the docks and cave system safe from too-large waves that could flood and destroy the place.
Zilla was there before the Clan settled, and will probably be there after, so no one knows exactly how old he is. Possibly Mersiren knows his age, since she's probably older than him anyway.
Zilla was discovered by Coastal once she started taking care of the coasts in earnest, and no one had known that the giant, many-eyed, dragon-ish thing was living within a hundred meters of the popular fishing grounds. Coastal keeps him happy and fed, so he has little reason to move and leave the docks defenseless.
Seahunt the ocean-adapted swamp kelpie was previously Zilla's only source of food. Now, Seahunt and Coastal work together to feed the kaiju with minimal annoyed scratches exchanged.
