Nothing has been documented of it until recent memory, after a Shadow spiral was cast into the Wyrmwound, burdened with a single egg as she endured the punishment of treason. The egg was incubated within the heated maw of the fanged crater, its embryo twisted and mutated with the direct radiation of Plague. What emerged was a dragon that only the Plaguebringer could call 'child', a hideous, imperial-shaped monstrosity whose dark scales festered with chitin growths that pulsed with a green luminescence. Equipped with unique biology, it soon discovered its purpose as an endoparasitoid, reproducing by infecting an egg into the body of a host, where the infant would consume it from the inside-out and subsequently exit the unfortunate husk as a lesser caste member of its abominable kind.
As its numbers began to multiply, the Queen soon turned its attentions beyond the perimeter of the Wyrmwound, and began its sinister encroachment upon new territory...
