Though she's not even distantly related to Ikposa's progenitors, Miraad is the clan's matriarch now. At one point five of her daughters were within the clan at the same time, but now only one remains.

The matriarch's spun-sap chamber is a magnificent construction, a piece of art in its own right. The chamber is the largest of the clan's fae roosts, suspended up high in a quintet of tall bamboo stakes at the top of the large hill that dominates the clan's territory and houses the larger dragons. It is a riot of color both inside and out, draped in shimmering silks and strings of feathers and glass beads. Inside, an array of magical lanterns hang from the ceiling, crafted of metal and colored glass, scattering a rainbow of light across the room. Her sleeping nest is woven from painted twigs and bits of scavenged fabric, and an alcove holds her prized trinkets: a purple glass orb full of smoke, a clay fertility statue, and a respectable collection of gemstones and other shiny things.

Miraad spends most days writing, though from time to time when inspiration strikes she makes jewelry out of woven fibers and bright glass beads. Most pieces get traded out to other dragon clans, though her unique creations have also been seen on harpies, Talonok, and even some of the maren off the Plateau's western edge (though those weren't traded directly). She takes great pride in forging connections this way, and it has certainly strengthened the clan's bonds with the local Beastclans.
