Carmelita

Friends are religious storytellers who have been tasked, supposedly by the deities themselves, to maintain an oral history of their patron. Their hatchlings are entrusted with the same, and thus, this society of dragons holds three values dear: memory, creativity, and parenthood.

Her birth name is Carmelita, but in deference to the Arcanist, only allows herself to be referred to by her "Friend" title: the Friend Of The Mages.

The Storyteller of the Arcanist, this Friend's stories are told in a matter-of-fact manner of speech, reminiscent of typical Crystalspire scientist charm. But far be her tales from dry recountings. This Friend knows the Arcanist as an active entity of possibility, and lets her stories reflect such. Unresolved mystery and permanent cliffhangers are a hallmark of her collection, much to the frustration of some listeners - whom are then encouraged to create their own ending. Genesis, infinity, and reflection all sit at the heart of this Friend's mindset, as blessed upon her and all of dragonkind by the Arcanist's grace.

All Friends are comfortable with a certain amount of bluff and inaccuracy in their oral tales, and this Friend is no difference. Yet out of the eleven elemental Friends who call the background of the Pillar home, she is surely the most dedicated to the research of her stories. She has collated tomes worth of potential sources and leads as to where her stories may have originated and changed throughout decades of recall, which is is more than happy to share with academics outside of the Friends' circle - even if they deny her link to the deities. Science and research can't account for everything, after all.
