Biography

Warrior

With the existing battleteam of Aeon, Ikosol, and Drizenne preoccupied with both the beastclans and their new adopted ward, Dsembra was recruited as an extra security measure. She wasn’t a fighter by occupation, but she had plenty of experience in combat and was capable of being a solo warrior.

Until one day, she returned for medical attention in the aftermath of a Shade fight gone wrong, and the clan discovered something quite unexpected lurking beneath her skin - wires hanging loose where her wings were shredded, metal strips ripped from her limbs, the skin of her face torn off to reveal the bone-like endoskeleton beneath.

It was difficult to separate the machine from the organic in Dsembra, and no healer or mechanic dared to meddle where wires intertwined with vital organs and chips were embedded in muscle. The wildclaw did not seem to feel pain strongly in those areas, anyway. Brine and Aeon fixed what they could (flesh wounds and loose gears) and left the rest to be covered up more superficially.

The arms and legs repaired themselves. Something had malfunctioned with her magic systems, and the ice that spread uncontrolled from the cracks in her frame formed a protective layer over the damage. The wings, once the wires had been fixed inside again, could be dismissed as simple veteran’s scars. The face was hidden under a wolf pelt that was terrifying enough to deter anyone from taking a closer look.

It’s been quite some time since the discovery, and Dsembra has gone back to work with seemingly no ill effects from the attack. Mostly.

There’s been something not quite right with her expression since. Her stares are even more unblinking (you’d wonder if she even needs to blink at all) and her face will sometimes freeze midspeech, before continuing as if there’s been no pause.
