Biography
Lore by DragonsMom!
Air still crisp in the morning light, though soon the sun's rays will pierce the glade to fall upon the dragon's face. She loves these moments at the end of Winter. New Life courses through the earth below her feet, and the scent of just opening blossoms play hide-n-seek as the breeze shifts.
But . . .
. . . there.
Sage smiles as she walks over to the citrus tree. Thick verdant leaves wrap around the tree, and all over there are tiny blossoms. Waiting for just the right moment.
But her nose knows.
As she shifts a cascading branch with her golden claws, one small flower rewards her with its delicate fragrance. Her face glows in happiness at this first hint of Springtime! Always, always, she can find them.
A tiny white cup, little stems colored peach within, and five long satin petals unfurled around it. Sage breaths deeply as she gently caresses the small flower. Beside if, growing from the same stalk are several tiny white buds, waiting their turn.
“Soon, small ones,” she whispers to them. “Soon.”
It has begun.
The green Skydancer turns her head to the sky just as shimmers of light crest the trees. Her orange head feathers dance at the movement, and the jingles on her shawl tinkle merrily.
Sage inhales deeply, her lungs filled with the smell of earth, ready for rebirth; water splashes nearby as the creek travels its path, and birds begin to sing their morning greeting.
Reaching for the tools strapped to her back, Sage removes the rake.
It is tyme.
Tyme to Celebrate the Earth's awakening from its long sleep.
All is right with the world.
