Biography

"The storm is coming! The storm is coming! The storm is coming!" Breeze exclaimed, flapping her three sets of wings as fast as she could. Being one of the main scouts of her old clan, she was in charge of finding the nearest danger. Sweat beaded her forehead as she raced against the weather.

Who knows when it'll arrive?

Breeze dared to catch a glimpse behind her, the distinct dark clouds raging after her, the smell of dew and rain flooding her senses.

"Not good, not good," she muttered to herself, a habit she often did when she was flustered or worried. Her stomach felt queasy, tossing and turning, making her feel sick inside and out.

Faster! Much faster! She thought, knowing that merely flying at this rate wouldn't do anything. But alas, she wasn't the fastest flier! And with winds this strong, she couldn't compete. The thunder clapped behind her, as if a mocking voice teasing her, pointing out that she couldn't outrun this.

Sadly, it was the truth. It was too fast, too strong, too much for just one Spiral. She was all alone, without a single other scout or clan-mate to help her.

Breeze sighed, landing to the ground, shivering, her tail quivering and twitching in anticipation. Her wings could no longer fly, they weren't tired, no, they were alive, urging her to fly more, farther from this storm. But Breeze knew that if she tried, she'd only be swept into the powerful calamity.

Oh how she hated walking and running! Especially running! Her long body wasn't just built for that.

"Oh Windsinger!" She exclaimed, out of breath. The female dragon knew that just standing there in the middle of nowhere wouldn't do a thing, but she was too tired to even try moving anymore. "What will I do!?" She roared.

Breeze knew that her clan would understand that the storm was coming, there were other scouts out there of course! However, what would happen to her? She was too far from the territory, too lost. Only then did she realize that she didn't know where she was. It was no longer her clan's territory.

Breeze gulped, lowering her head. She'd never been to the "outside" before. Always just patrolling the perimeters. That's it, they warned her that going outside wasn't a good idea. Breeze was a follower, she hated breaking the rules!

She looked up at the sky, the clouds growing grayer and grayer. Best be time to move. Shaking off the few little drops of water already clinging to her skin, she was off. With her head help high, her eyes scanned the area, wondering where the nearest shelter was.

Many things flew around in her mind. The happy smiles her clan-mates had, the good mornings and goodnights, the feasts before sleeping time and the chats she held with her closest friends.

Would she still be able to see them? Were they worried? What did they think had become of her?

She growled, her tail tapping the ground, annoyed.

Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter.

There goes the rain. Breeze frowned, feeling the first few drops of rain coating her body like a liquid tunic that she certainly didn't need. Great! Just great! Breeze continued on, the storm growing stronger and stronger, louder and louder. The longer she stayed out in the rain, the longer her tolarance grew. She had gotten used to the sound of droplets hitting the ground, the smell of rainwater everywhere, the fact that no one would dare go out because of the bad weather.

She must've looked crazy just walking around out there, as if it was a sunny day!

Breeze laughed to herself, a broad smile on her lips. She found it very funny that she chose to go to this unknown path, rather than to look back and find her clan. Perhaps it was a sign. Maybe for her to have a new beginning. Perhaps, she could start over.

Things weren't at their best back in her clan of course. She wasn't the best scout, she wasn't one to contribute to much. Many others were far more skilled than her, in return, she'd been seen as lower than them. That didn't lead to her isolating herself, no. She had befriended everyone there, earning true friends and . . . not so real ones.

Maybe she could start over. Maybe she could nurture her skills. Maybe she was simply meant for something else.

As time passed by, the more Breeze grew quiet, her heart rate slowing down. She no longer talked to herself, no longer worried. All she did was walk forward, eyes glued straight. Sure her body was shivering, her legs were tired, her muscles ached, but she still persisted. She was hardheaded that way.

No matter how long she walked or how far she searched, she couldn't spot any sign of shelter. No den, no lair no crevice she could squeeze herself into.

Then there it was!

A scent far more different than the smell of rainwater (which she was now so used to). The scent of dragon. NO! Dragons!

Breeze sneezed, her eyes seeing double already. Was she just dreaming? Imagining all this? Straight ahead was a large den, large enough to support a small group of five dragons! And right there in the front of it was a large blue Guardian.

A new face! A blessing in disguise!

Her legs buckled in agony, pain rushing over her. She winced, her muscles straining. She stood there, her body shaking, teeth clattering, but her eyes alight with hope. Breeze could no longer move, her body just stuck there in place, happy that she'd found a place!

The Guardian's face was full of concern and panic, already rushing over to her aid. He ran out into the rain, letting her lean on him.

"Th-thank you," she mustered, saying it through her clattering teeth. "M-my na-name is Br-Br-Breeze." She said with a smile, letting the larger dragon lead her into the shelter. Once she got inside, her eyes met a small figure at the back.

She too, was wet like her. A small pool of water encircling the small fae. Their emerald eyes locking together.

So these must be the dragons that owned those scents from a while back. A Fae and a Guardian. What an odd pair. One so large and one so tiny. She smiled lightly at Serara, then at Makoto.

"Thank you," she whispered, grinning from ear to ear.

A new dawn had arrived.
