Uh-oh, looks like this dragon with a mid-life crisis wandered a little too far from her home lair (330081, MagicSpyglass), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Solitude is a rather.. odd woman. She claims that she is a mature dragon, but anyone who knows her well knows that she.. has many problems. Mostly gambling and alcohol problems. When she first joined The Dreamshard Clan, she seemed useful, at least until she started coming home smelling of booze, with gold coins absent. Still, the clan that she found herself in was a forgiving one. After all, she had been raised in a strict family, maybe she just needed the right guidance?

Than, the clan's resident trader Darius found that all of the clan's savings had been stolen. Many in the clan suspected that it was one of Darius's many enemies, but the shady trader knew better. If the thief were one of her enemies, than they would either do it more cleanly, or attack more than just the clan's coffers. So Darius headed to the nearest tavern alongside Cygnus and Nova. Sure enough, Solitude was caught gambling away everyone's money, all while smashed. The dragons that she was gambling with fled with their ill made gains, and the guardian was kicked out of the clan, not even being allowed to get her items from within her den. She was told that she'd only be able to come back once she got her act together. So now she is traveling by herself. Can she change?
Solitude wanders into Kuiper’s casino with a smile on her face. The bright lights and adventure of the road was too much, she needed to go back to her old life, of drinking and gambling.

“So, where are you frommmmm?” Kuiper hisses.

“The DreamShard Clan…got kicked out…” She slurred back.

“Ahhh, DreamShard…I’ve heard of that place! Sounds like a real snore. Anyway, we have fun here…especially me…if you know what I mean…” Kuiper wiggles his eyebrows.

“Ewww, get away from me you alien creep!” She screams, lighting him on fire. She flew away from the casino.
She must have had the most rotten luck in all of Sornieth. Solitude awoke with a start, staring into the frightened eyes of a trash collector. She groaned and straightened up, crushing the cardboard box that had been serving as a makeshift pillow.

"How did you even get into our Province?" the worker asked, shaken.

"How should I know?" Solitude said in a snippy voice. "Get outa my face, you weirdo."

Taking a look around her surroundings, the first thing she noticed was that she was in an alley beside a dumpster. The second thing she noticed was the upset look on the dragon who had accidentally woken her. And the third thing, that she only just now realized, was that she had no idea where she was or how she even got here. She probably drank too much a few nights ago, but there was no memories to help her figure out what place she was in.

"I'm going to alert the guards," the irritating dragon said firmly.

Solitude ignored him, stretched out her wings, and lifted into the sky. She did a few lazy circles, watching the town from above, then slowly fluttered down again and crashed onto the cobblestone path. "Oww," she groaned dramatically. Once again, she gave another quizzical glance at the area.

Although it took a few days before Solitude found out, she had ended up in possibly the worst place for someone such as herself--the Gladeshadow Province. There was a tavern, owned by a creepy dragon named Boneyard, but no one would let her have too many drinks. She got two before the workers told her that there was a policy to stand by and that nobody wanted a drunk wandering around town. Solitude, of course, tried to put up a fight, but a wickedly strong imperial finally came over and threw her out, ignoring the barrage of insults she tossed his way. Solitude was discontent for the remainder of her mysterious visit. Especially when she met a former associate of hers. Much to Solitude's horror, Turontu had decided to come here in hopes of wooing a new girl in order to get her money. So far, according to Turontu, he was succeeding. Solitude was furious. She had memories back from when he had tried to impress her as well. Now he was tricking a princess instead. Solitude remembered everything--how the trickster had gotten her into alcohol, how he influenced her so much that she took her first gamble, how he broke her heart and took everything left that she had... It hurt. Badly. She wasn't sure why, but she was envious of the princess. That, and she also felt bad for her at the same time. She thought about interfering, but her jealousy of the couple made her turn her back. She hated Turontu, but the thought of him being with another girl... Well, it burned inside. After that, she hit the road again, still unknowing of what brought her here to begin with. Somewhere else, she expected, would have a suitable place where she could drink away her sorrows and forget about this.

What better place to drink a lot, disappear into a crowd, and hang out with lowlifes than a port city? Sure, it was a port city right under the Lightweaver's nose... but sailors were sailors, right?
