Don't let her sharp wit fool you- Hail is a dragon who always means business. Unlike Dread and Rex's serious dispositions, Hail fits in more with Conda and Vivid- she tends to be a snarky dragon who enjoys casual conversation and playing with the other dragon's heads. Despite this attitude, she's rather calm and cool in battle, which makes her a valuable asset when it comes to battle- she tends to be the most levelheaded of all the attackers, and her knack for strategizing and turning the tides with her attacks have been noticed by Eve. As a result, she is Eve's apprentice as the General-In-Training- something that flusters Zeryx, since he has no idea how to feel about his mate training with his mother.

While Dread tears apart everyone in sight and Conda does sneak attacks, Hail's job is to take out targets of interest- with a sharp mind, she pinpoint an enemy's weakness and destroys it. This tactfulness is what makes her very valuable to Eve when planning strategies. Once she has selected her victim, Hail will make her move, using all of her strength and aggression to defeat her chosen enemy, usually with very positive results. Though she is not an assassin, even Spectre has commented that she has "potential".

Hail is the mate of Zeryx, something that she adores and something that embarrasses her to absolutely no end. Hail and Zeryx have a very comfortable relationship that often shows them trading wisecracks and jokes, and borrowing things at the most inconvenient of times. It's almost like a game to them, but they both care for each other very much. They get into games of chicken where they flirt with each other until one of them gets embarrassed. At this point, neither one remembers who borrowed what. However, overall they are a healthy and happy couple, sharing a den and almost always sitting with one another at mealtimes.

She also likes Conda, Vivid, Eve, and Diamond. She and Dread originally had quite an antagonistic relationship, but they have recently become something like best friends in a way similar to Zeryx and Rex. She gets annoyed by dragons that are dainty, like Angel and Melody, and has a small dislike of Glimmer, though this may be because of her previous relationship with Zeryx.

Hail fought hard against Acid in the Bringer War, although it was nothing related to their respective mates (Zeryx and Xyzer). It was a clash of ideals- Hail believes strongly in loyalty, while Acid does not. They fought a harsh battle, with Acid using her mechanics and inventions to keep Hail at bay. But Hail persevered and eventually overloaded Acid's machines, causing them to literally blow up in her face, winning the battle. She helped fight against Bringer.

Hail is currently recovering after the war.
