The stoic ruler of the frost spirits. He is the only one with access to the Arctic Sanctum, the source from which all known magic springs from in their society, and it is part of his duty to maintain the barriers surrounding it and protect it with his life. There are old stories that speak of outsiders who almost drained the Sanctum's magic and destroyed all frost spirits in the process; that is why all non-frost spirits are to be driven out, and even killed, if necessary. Something about its power is too alluring for humans and monsters to stay away.

Protecting it is his primary concern, and thus he leaves most other matters to Tatjana. His sister's love is a rare exception of an outsider begrudgingly granted temporary stay by Veikko, as it is against centuries of tradition to disinherit a frost spirit imbued with royal magic like his nephew. Family must always come first.
