Peppermint

Snowberry has a rare talent, that of making WONDERFUL candy of all kinds! Recently, while making fudge outside the lair. there was a tiny fluttering of wings. Looking around, Snowberry saw a peppermint spotted Veispun settling down next to the fudge table.
"Mmmmmmm," he said, "Your fudge smells wonderful. Do you make it with pecans?"
"Indeed, I do," replied the green and red Fae. "That's the way my Poppi taught me. If you hang around, I'll give you some of the crumbs when it sets up."
"Sounds like a gunga deal to me: I'm Peppermint, by the way," he said as he settled down to watch and wait.
"Really?" laughed Snowberry. "I never would have guessed it.
Peppermint chuckled too. "Funny, i was just thinking you look like a mixture of mint chocolate and peppermint."
"Nothing wrong with those. Some of my favorite flavors." Then with a wry grin, the admission came out, "Okay, really, I like all kinds of candy. Making it, eating it, giving it away."
"That make us buds then cuz I'm right there with you."
For a bit the two dragons exchanged recipes and talked about cooking techniques until the fudge has set up. When Snowberry handed Peppermint a huge piece to try, he was delighted. Even more so when he tasted the sweet confectionary.
"Mmmmmm, as good as my Dame's. You know, I'm getting ready to make a HUGE batch of candy for a GINORMOUS Christmas Celebration. I sure could use some help."
Snowberry's eyes lit up. "Like you even have to ask!"
Peppermint grinned to himself. He'd known it all along.
