Winter

Sornieth is filled with remarkable fungi. The influence of the gods promotes the evolution and growth of particularly large and novel specimens. Winter's mission is to document and (if necessary) preserve every fungus he can find.

His great size means that a great number of fungi are just too small for him to study, so he focuses on specimens that can be easily examined and handled by Imperial-sized dragons. The Scarred Wasteland and Tangled Wood are home to the most noteworthy, so he spends much of his life on the road, consulting locals for their wisdom and collecting samples to bring back to the Empyreal for study and cataloging.

Though his true passion is mycology, Winter is opportunistic, and if there's anything else interesting in the area he'll try to observe that too. This has led to him bringing the Empyreal some unexpected arrivals.
