When Shihab first joined Clan Onda, she often felt overwhelmed by the new dragons and while making a clear effort, most of them tried to allow her the space to settle in. Within the first few days, however, a few dragons noticed something peculiar. Wherever Astrophel was seen, Shihab was often caught lurking nearby and staring intently. A few clan members began feeling suspicious of the behavior, but the tundra dragon calmly noted their discomfort and assured each of them that he was aware of the situation and it was of no concern. It was nearly a week into her following him that a moment came for him to address her. Late one evening as he prepared a meditation under the stars, he felt her eyes on him. Without looking up from his preparations, he spoke calmly into the night air.

"You know, child, more of your questions might find their answers if you asked them of me."

A soft chuckle left him as the brush rustled when she startled, apparently unaware she had been caught in her spying. Silence lingered for some time before the stillness was broken by her creeping forward into the candlelight. She seemed nervous, barely resisting the urge to tie her tail in a knot as stress plagued her but the kind tundra paused his work to sit across from her patiently. When he offered her no more, she cleared her throat to speak.

"You... You have stars... In your fur."

His smile was true and genuine as his tail swished gently, her eyes widening as the stars upon it seemed to glimmer.

"A fan of stars then? I find them to be one of nature's great fascinations. I study them often but have never had the joy of a pupil to share that knowledge with. Would you care to indulge me and learn more of them, perhaps?"

Shihab's eyes widened at his offer and she felt herself shivering with excitement. When his head cocked to the side awaiting her answer, she darted forward like a springtrap nearly bumping her nose into his before nodding sharply, not trusting her own voice. The tundra's patience was never exhausted by her excitement, he found great joy in the energy she brought to their lessons. The spiral's love of stars only grew as she began learning all the secret stories hidden within their beautiful patterns. The two were fast friends bringing out the best in each other. Shihab finding more confidence after founding her first friendship in her new home and Astrophel being drawn out of his routines on occasion by his curious friend's discoveries.
