B I O G R A P H Y

Giftwish was born under a lucky star beneath the branches of the Behemoth. She had many siblings, and she was one of the youngest, and as the youngest she got lots of attention and care, while her adult siblings around her learned and toiled. Eventually, however, she also grew up and learned and developed.

But while she grew up physically, her heart and soul stayed young. She tried to involve herself in serious adult affairs; politics, community, business, etc. But none of it ever truly clicked with her or made full sense. She didn't understand any of it, or why life had to be so complicated. But she was an adult, so she was expected to function as one. This made her very unhappy, and once she was pushed to her limit, she left the clan without a word to anyone.

B I O G R A P H Y

She wandered the wilds, and busied herself with small adventures and thrills. She felt happy and free, but she also felt alone. One night, she made camp at a beach, she gazed up at the stars above and with longing eyes. She sighed aloud and lamented; "I'm not fit for this life as I am right now. I wish I could be young on the outside as I am on the inside." And with that, she fell asleep.

As she slept, she had a dream. A mysterious dragon, dressed royally and with primal eyes of a sort she did not recognize, approached her. "Be not afraid, young-hearted one," they said to her, "Your wish has been heard loud and pure. It can be granted to you, as long as you promise to pass the favor along, and help others fulfill their wishes for the rest of your life." Giftwish was dazed and surprised, staring at the dragon in awe. A chance to be her true self, and in exchange she had to help others? She saw no downside. "I accept!" she declared. The dragon smiled, and gently touched her on the forehead before vanishing, leaving Giftwish to a dreamless sleep

The next morning, she awoke to the sun shining in her eyes and the ocean's waves crashing on the shore. She felt... different, more lively. it took her a moment to remember her dream, and she rushed to the water to check her reflection; what she saw was herself, but much younger and smaller, and her green capsule was gone, replaced with fancy lacing filigree blooming from where the dragon touched her on the forehead in her dream. Giftwish was overjoyed! She danced in the air and sang happily. But she had a promise to keep, her heart already pulled her towards it. She needed to find a place to help wishes come true

Her frolicking attracted the attention of a patrolling Nocturne, Galesurf, and he flew over to her and asked her if she was lost. "No," she replied with a smile, "I am very much found." She then told him her whole story, and asked him if he knew where she could help others fulfill their wishes. Galesurf thought a moment, then offered her to come to his clan; there were many dragons there who wanted to grow and change, and they needed all the help they could in achieving themselves. Giftwish happily accepted, and joined the clan officially.
