Vivian Masterson grew up outside the capital city in the Lightning District. Rather than a childhood filled with the wonders of the technologically advanced, hers was filled with storm chasing, dune buggies, and playing hide and seek in the wild sands. She lived on the edge of a new frontier, and utilized it for gain.

She started posting her adventures online. Half were her in danger from stupid or reckless stunts, and the other half was genuinely informative. Viv captured weather phenomena that hadn't been seen before. The controversy surrounding one of them attracted none other than Schwartz Industries.

Suggesting a contract for map making and offering full, expenses paid travel, Viv snatched up the opportunity and began work at S.I. Although she's gone for weeks at a time, she's found her place in a small niche of others and can often be found face-timing them, wherever they are.
