Biography

The wide mesa the clan occupies sits in a loop of river, the land rising steeply before flattening out 800 feet above the riverbanks. Ikposa's territory is not formally marked with walls or defenses; instead there are tall bamboo stakes every 50 feet or so around the edge of the entire mesa, topped with colorful scraps of fabric and ribbon. On the northern side of the mesa, a wide, gently sloping ramp is carved into the earth. It makes its way around to the southern side where it reaches the top, providing a way up for those who can't fly, or have a cart with them. In the event that one approaches from the south, there's a tunnel carved through the narrow span of rock where the river nearly meets itself.

At the top of the mesa, marking the top of the long ramp, a banner emblazoned with the emblem of the Windsinger stands propped up with a rake with bent tines and a rusty thing that might once have been a halberd. Some enchanted paper lanterns hover nearby, and a breeze carries the sounds and smells of the tiny clan's activities out here to the edge of the mesa.

A path marked with brightly painted stones leads to a cluster of bamboo structures and trees, as well as an enormous pavilion erected over the main den entrance. There's a big wooden bulletin board nearby, plastered with notes of all sizes, as well as items pinned around the edges: a cluster of bright feathers, a scrap of painted fabric, a dried flower, a single copper earring, and a garland made of alternating bird skulls and iridescent beetle shells.

Please be on the lookout: Cinder's much-loved mith plush has been misplaced, and the hatchlings are really missing it. If you find it, take it to her right away, thank you! -Eun (On a sheet of parchment there's a list of colors with tally marks next to them, in several different hands, including a hatchling's scribble that just says "toad", with their own single mark next to it.) H— New Talonok clan downstream is interested in pelts, I've pulled some out and left them with Patula —A

Help is needed in all seasons! those of you who have not yet been vaccinated against this year's dominant foodborne strain of plague, please come see me as soon as possible, BEFORE you get sick—virose (Scribbled on the corner of this missive in smudged charcoal that matches the added name: "There are two other Vs this could be so i fixed it!")
Favorite shuttle is missing plz take directly to workshop if found
(Below this, someone else has helpfully drawn a loom's shuttle, along with a Fae face flanked by butterfly wings, and —I.)
Medley/Hizli— Adaa lost her amulet somewhere between here and the eastern coast of the Plateau, last time we went to speak to the Maren there. It's a long shot, but please keep your eyes open for it if you head that way. —Chilensis
(At the bottom of the board, a long piece of parchment is pinned which reads: Violence or rudeness toward resident Beastclan individuals will not be tolerated)

A Dunhoof centaur is dozing in the shade of a tree, a calico cat asleep on his back, while a rainbow-colored Fae appears to be sketching them from atop a nearby boulder. A young harpy cleans fish into a wooden bucket as chickens forage in the grass around her. There are several Longneck individuals cooking and socializing in front of a cluster of mud brick and stone structures; a Raptorik is perched atop one of the huts, sharpening a knife.
