.⟦ Blanch ⟧ | #489 | Tundra Explorer |
┌━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┐
Where many dragons find the cutting cold of winter winds and ice-covered lands of tundras difficult to traverse at best, Blanch finds them perfectly homey. With pale blue scales and dark grey wings, Blanch can easily blend into the rocky terrain that reveals itself under layers of ice on occasion, while also keeping her camouflage in heavy snow. This natural camouflage is what first opened the door to tundra exploration for Blanch, and she hasn’t looked back since. For Blanch, the tundra is a chance to explore where others cannot, delving deep into icy canyons or crossing great swathes of unbroken snow. Her large size makes it easy to fight against snowstorms that try to blow her off course, while her keen eyesight makes tundra hunting startlingly easy.
Of course, not everything goes as planned in the tundra. The land is known to hold secrets, far older than any mortal dragon can hope to remember, and far more dangerous than one should encounter. Blanch was one of the unlucky few to discover such a secret, locked in an icy cavern beneath a layer of snow. At first glance, Blanch determined it to be the ruins of a primitive home, long lost to the ice, unwittingly setting foot in a runic ring that would change her fate. When she left the cavern, she swore she could see something following her, though closer inspection revealed nothing out of the ordinary. Over the next few weeks, the feeling of being watched grew stronger, and the thought of being followed never left her mind. Though she could never prove it, Blanch knew something had followed her out of that cave, something older than her time on this land. For now, she continues to explore, hoping that she can one day figure out whether this being means harm or not. She can only hope it won’t be too late when she finally discovers the truth. dukeofyork wrote:
Blanch was one of the first dragons to catch my eye. I love frosty-looking dragons and her being an Imperial just immediately called to me. Such pretty colors! I was thrilled to see you have so much lore for them too, and her lore is fascinating. What's following her? It's so spooky sounding for such a pretty dragon wandering the tundras! I love her.
