Once upon a time, in the deep dark lands of the Tangled Wood, there lived two mirrors who loved the light. Every morning, the pair would wake together before the sun rose, and spend an hour basking in its glorious new rays. They so longed to bring light to their dark corner of the world; their home was a beacon of brightness for all to see, filled to the brim with ever-burning candles. They also brought light to their world in a more metaphorical way: they were two of the kindest, most generous dragons to walk Sornieth. And then, as with all things, their lives came to a end. But their story did not end with their physical bodies. Tallow, minor deity of candles, had watched their lives burn brightly from afar, and saw fit to allow them to continue bringing light. He returned them to the earth as living candles, so they could once more light up the lives of those they touched. Their offspring are dedicated to continuing their mission of bringing light to the world.
