Ptah
Every child is an artist - the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.

Ptah is the Egyptian god of craftsmen and architects. He is said to protect the craftsmen, especially at Karnak and Deir el-Medina. He is very creative and likes every kind of art. Ptah even is said to be a creator deity who formed the universe and the world. He also created the idols and cult places for the other deities and inducted the legal framework of Egypt. For that he was worshipped as spiritual creator of Ancient Egypt.

Even though Ptah is said to be a very noble god and very wise, he likes to play in the mud - and calling it art afterwards. He seems to enjoy life and is very friendly to everybody. Especially children are his weak point, since Ptah is thinking, that every child is an artist who just needs get shown the right direction. This may be the reason why he sometimes is also very strict. Ptah urges to follow his rules and if they don't do so, he may get really angry. Art is sacred and whoever is not showing dignity to it and it's artist will have a very tough time with Ptah. Nevertheless he is a very loving husband to Sachmet and a caring father for his son Nefertem.
