Brietta

Brietta wasn’t always a dragon- in fact, she was once a beautiful human sorceress. She was skilled in many schools of magic, but particularly that of transmutation. Yes, it was clear that the young sorceress had an peculiar knack for turning into other creatures. And while this meant that Brietta was very talented, it also made her easily distracted, and rather flighty- she could never decide what form she liked best. She once spent 10 years as a cat, 6 months as a squirrel, and one very confusing day and a half as a grasshopper.

Her parents always thought she’d grow out of this phase. “Just chose one, Brietta!” they’d complain as their daughter sat at the dinner table, trying (and failing) to hold her salad fork in her beak. And in a way, Brietta did choose. Although, as you can see, her preferred form these days is far from human.

So now Brietta is a beautiful dragon sorceress... but she still likes to get out and stretch her legs (or flippers or hooves) every now and again. Her new dragon family doesn’t mind, though. They know that Brietta is Brietta, and they know that she’s happy: no matter what she looks like.
