The villagers say she's ancient, large wings inked with sprawling branches that seem to hold secrets within their shadows, playing into every twitch in her movement, every facet of the light as it reflects off her antennae. Hardly any seem to remember the day she first appeared in the sprawling seaside village, with silhouettes haunting her eyes and sopping wet wings, or if they do, they don't mention it. At least not in front of her. But the whispers and rumors creep throughout old cobblestone alleyways, into houses, behind cupped hands, though never in broad daylight. She spends most of her days in a secluded grove of young alders and birches, where she seems to speak the same tongue as the trees themselves.

She is Manon's older sister, though the two have long ceased contact with one another. Sonnai is but a tired soul who has seen too much of the world and now longs to stop, to slow down, to wander. She's been here...how long? What're a few centuries more? And besides, roots shackle her to this place, the place where it all began...
