"Mister Sandman, bring me a dream," the sleepy voices whispered from below. "Make him the cutest that I've ever seen..."

"Bumbumbumbum!" The shimmering seafoam dragon hummed cheerfully, twisting his lithe form down through the clouds. "Don't worry loves, Sandman's on his way and darlings I am the cutest you've ever seen. Except oops! You won't see me, you'll be fast asleep." Irluna continued to hum the tune, bobbing his head along with it as he made his way from the Heavenly Place to the lower realms where sleepyheads drowsed in their beds ready for the tickle of his feathers over their eyes stirring sweet dreams from their hearts to their minds. His silks, starlight from the horizon woven and spun into the sheerest covering, flapped quietly in the winds. His pink Sprite, formed from the solid magic of a good dream, chittered and flittered about him, her eyes on the watch for those who might not want the Dreambringer to go about his job tonight.

"Now loves, who's ready for that feather kiss and a little sugared dreaming," In this new world the skydancer found his place easily enough. It simply made the best sense to align with the high folk, known as Cupid Kin, the ones in charge of joys and lights, sweets and laughs, love and beauty. He flapped one shimmering rose wing as he alighted on the roof of a hutch, stretching his long neck down to peer in the window. The mirror dragon inside slept fitfully, her tail thrashing as she squirmed and tossed in her nest. "Bumbumbumbum hang on pretty girl, we'll lay you into a better rest yet."

In the admiring moonlight, that played so beautifully off his feathers and scales, Irluna wiggled a thin clawed finger through the gap between the windows and flipped the latch. He pushed the panes apart without a sound from the hinges, humming a melody constantly to keep the spell of sleep on the room. "Mirage my cherie, pick up the tune," Irluna requested. Immediately his Sprite responded, her chitters changing to melodic notes as she darted into the room before him glowing with soft pink light and fluttering in slow circles. He climbed in, putting all four feet on the floor and strutting towards the bed. "At ease lovely girl, no more nightbothers bumbumbumbum," He churred softly, sweeping a wing across the mirror dragon's pale face and tickling her nose slightly. With a loud and somewhat unattractive snore she stretched one last time before curling into herself and tucking her wings in, falling deeper into sweet nod. "There pet, Sandman's done his best. You will dream of a handsome humming savior no?" Another snore answered him, sputtery and thick. The skydancer clicked his beak disapprovingly and rolled his purple eyes. "Your loss dear. Bonne nuit, fais de beaux rêves, good night and good dreams." The chittering of his familiar returned as she jealously zoomed around his head, the pink flashing now. It was time to move to the next home.

His talons clicked on the wooden floor as he made his way to the window, no longer concerned with using melody to soothe the soft sounds the mirror was too deeply asleep to be awakened by now. Before climbing out the window he poked his head out, scanning the sky and the earth for a sign a nightmare might be lurking to undo his good work and set the mirror tossing again. Or worse, rouse her from the bed in awakened fear. No such foe appeared and from a ways away Irluna caught the sound of another slumberer calling out. "Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream..."

"With haste darling," The dragon churred, mounting the sill and springing off of it back into the night air. "Simply the sweetest that you'll ever dream!"
